Temple Alumni to Sing in Eugene Onegin

Temple Boyer College of Music graduates Youna Jang and Shelley Jackson will be singing the role of Tatyana in the Academy of Vocal Arts production of Tchaikovsky’s Eugene Onegin. In this classic Russian opera, based on the novel by Alexander Pushkin, Tatyana opens her heart to Eugene Onegin, a mysterious young stranger. He quickly dismisses her advances, and sets into motion an unforgettable story of love, pride, and lost opportunity.

This is a semi-staged, fully-costumed performance with piano accompaniment. All performances will take place in AVA’s Helen Corning Warden Theater in Center City Philadelphia. Jang will be singing on January 17, and Jackson on January 15 and 22. A third cast will be performing January 19.
